Establishing a Dial-Up Connection
to
Sulphur Canyon Internet

Note: This site is for demo purposes only.  Sulphur Canyon Internet closed for business in August 2006.

Network Manager Settings  (Generic Instructions)

Required Settings

The phone line connection manager (dial- up manager / network manager, etc.) must be configured for Sulphur Canyon Internet dial-up with our 7 digit phone number used to access our e-mail server and our T1 backbone (internet connection).  This configuration varies among operating systems, but is often rather user friendly, sometimes utilizing a "Wizard".

Create a "new connection" to the "internet"  "manually" using a "dial-up modem".  Enter:

  • ISP Name:  Sulphur Canyon Internet

  • Phone Number: 829-XXXX   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet) for dial-up access)

  • User Name: XXXXXXXX   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet for dial-up access)

  • Password: XXXXXXX   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet for dial-up access)

Optional Settings

The additional settings shown below (when available) are recommended to achieve a more pleasant "dial up" session.

E-mail Client Settings  (Generic Instructions)

The subscribers own e-mail program (e.g., Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) is configured by opening the options (or preferences) in their e-mail program and entering the following information under "e-mail accounts":

  • Your Name:  John Doe

  • E-mail address:  jdoe@sulphurcanyon.com   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet)

  • Incoming Mail Server (Pop 3):  mail.sulphurcanyon.com

  • User Name: XXXXXXXX   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet for e-mail access)

  • Password: XXXXXX   (given to you by Sulphur Canyon Internet for e-mail access)
